It all starts with choosing colours, type of yarn and pattern for the project. After deciding on the theme, we calculate the number of vertical (warp) yarns that make the width of the fabrics and the length of the yarn which is the total length of the fabric.
The loom consists of a back beam on which we install our calculated length, that can be up to 10 m of yarn, and number of yarns necessary for a project, which varies on the width of the project, its pattern or preferred lightness of the fabric.
All these yarns from the back beam pass through heddles which are polyester strings with an eyelet through which passes one yarn out of example 500 of them. Each yarn passes through one heddle.
Our loom has 8 shafts which are frames that hold the heddles - the heddles on each shaft depend on the project, could be 10
